Pacquiao focusing on his defense techniques on last two days of training for upcoming Matthyse fight

"Pambansang Kamao" Manny Pacquiao is onto his last two days of training for his fight against Argentine boxer and WBA Welterweight Champion Lucas Matthysse on July 15 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to Mav Gonzalez' report on Balitanghali Sunday, the Filipino ring icon is focusing on his defense techniques as his opponent Matthysse is known to be an aggressive fighter.

Many fans watched and supported Pacquiao on his training on Saturday, where he did five rounds of sparring against Jheritz Chavez and undefeated Australian boxer George Kambosos Jr.

He also had his mitts training and regular gym workout.

"Very satisfied 'yong result ng training namin, 'yong kondisyon namin, lahat satisfied naman, maganda 'yong galawa namin, 'yong ginawa namin sa training, lahat ng effort na puwede naming gawin ginawa namin more combination, head movement, ano lang siguro the same lang nagplayo lang kami palagi," Pacquiao said.

This is Pacquiao's first fight with only the MP Promotions handling the preparations, but the Senator reassured that everything is "under control and well-managed"

"Hindi madali, marami kang aasikasuhin, maraming pagkakaabalahan, pero everything is under control, well-managed naman, because of the people that I get, mapagkakatiwalaan naman ng mga tao na nakuha ko dito sa Malaysia, dito sa Pilipinas tsaka sa Malaysia."

When asked about the possibility of his plan to pursue his dream to have his last fight in the Philippines, he said, "Yes, that's possible na mangyayare dito, planuhin lang natin nang mabuti."

Pacquiao will have his last training on Monday before flying to Kuala Lumpur for the Matthysse fight.

He also thanked his fans for the support and said he dedicates this fight to the whole country.

"Maraming salamat sa lahat ng suporta ng mga fans, alay ko sa buong sambayanang Pilipino ang karangalan na ito, please pray for me na madala natin yung karangalan dito"
