Pacquiao 'unbelievably fast' ahead of Thurman fight, says Roach

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is seeing Manny Pacquiao's vintage speed and form ahead of their world title showdown against WBA world welterweight champion Keith Thurman on July 20 (July 21 Manila time) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

According to Roach, the 40-year-old Pacquiao has somehow turned back the clock and is moving the way he did during his prime years.

"Manny is so unbelievably fast. He’s 40 years old and moving around the ring with the same speed he had when he was just a seven-division world champion," said Roach.

"Manny has Keith Thurman’s number. Thurman is slower than Heinz ketchup. Manny is going to beat him 57 ways on July 20. The fans know it, and the sports books know it."

The odds has also turned to Pacquiao's favor, as he went from underdog to favorite by oddsmakers leading up to the fight.

And if the fans want to make money out of the much-awaited bout, Roach cites that they better bet their money on the Filipino boxing icon.

"Manny has gone from underdog to a betting favorite," he quipped. "Manny is money for this fight." — BAP, GMA News
