Casimero to Inoue: ‘Sign the contract and fight me!’

Reigning WBO world bantamweight champion Johnriel Casimero has once again called out Naoya Inoue following the latter’s successful title defense this Sunday in Las Vegas.

Inoue, the WBA and IBF world bantamweight world champion, showcased why he is the #2 pound-for-pound boxer in the world in his systematic breakdown of Jason Moloney en route to a seventh-round technical knockout.

But Casimero is far from impressed as he once again dared the Japanese superstar to meet him inside the ring.

“It was a good fight but I still don't see how he is good. Those who say he that Naoya is strong, shit,” Casimero said in a video he posted on social media.

Casimero and Inoue were supposed to fight earlier this year but the showdown was ultimately called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Casimero ended up fighting a journeyman in Duke Micah last September where he won via third-round technical knockout.

Bent on his belief that Inoue is dodging him, Casimero also stated that the Japanese champion should sign the dotted line and fight him already.

“Inoue, congrats on your fight. Hopefully soon you sign the contract and fight me.” — BM, GMA News
