Carlo Paalam awarded his Olympic silver medal

Filipino boxer Carlo Paalam put up a gallant stand in a split decision loss to Great Britain's Galal Yafai, 4-1, in the men's flyweight finals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics on Saturday.

After the match, he received his silver medal while standing on the podium in the awarding ceremony.

It also the third medal of the Philippine boxing delegation in Tokyo, after Nesthy Petecio's silver in the women's featherweight event and Eumir Marcial's bronze in the men's middleweight.
