Philippine Olympic boxing's best bets Onyok, Petecio, Paalam, Marcial in Malacañang

Some of Philippine boxing's finest bets in the Olympics were in Malacañang on Monday as President Rodrigo Duterte handed them rewards for their achievements.

In a photo released by the Philippine Sports Commission on Tuesday, 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medalists Nesthy Petecio and Carlo Paalam and bronze medalist Eumir Marcial posed with 1996 Atlanta Olympics silver medalist Mansueto 'Onyok' Velasco.

All four of them were awarded the Order of Lapu-Lapu and cash incentives due to their achievements during their stints in the Summer Games.

The Philippines' first Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz was also recognized in Monday's awarding ceremony.

Out of the Philippines' 14 medals since it joined the Olympics, eight of those are from boxing.
