After Nonito Donaire, Probellum signs Donnie Nietes

Newly established promotional outfit Probellum has signed another notable Filipino boxer in former four-division champion Donnie Nietes.

Nietes, 39, joins Nonito Donaire Jr. in the stable that is spearheaded by ex-Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer.

"Welcoming our second Filipino Boxing Icon! Four-weight World Champion Donnie Nietes seals a promotional deal with Team Probellum," the promotion wrote on Instagram.

Nietes, who holds a record of 43-1-5 with 23 knockouts, last saw action in April when he defeated Pablo Carrillo via unanimous decision to win the WBO international super flyweight title.

Besides Nietes and Donaire, Probellum is also slated to promote the upcoming title fight between WBO world bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero and Paul Butler reportedly on December 11 in a yet-to-be-determined venue.
