Manny Pacquiao's eldest son Jimuel wins US amateur boxing debut

Manny Pacquiao's eldest son Jimuel won his first amateur boxing bout on US soil following a decision nod over Mexican-American Andres Rosales on Sunday (Philippine time) at the House of Boxing Gym in San Diego, California.

The 21-year-old has been in the USA for months to prepare for his upcoming fight under the tutelage of Marvin Somodio at the famed Wild Card Boxing Gym. The younger Pacquiao showed significant improvements in his boxing, landing combinations and overhand rights en route to a decision.

Pacquiao, who competed at junior welterweight, got his boxing license in December but has participated in unsanctioned bouts in the Philippines before. Also present in attendance was MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons.
