Pinoy contender Jade Bornea stops Ivan Meneses in 7

Filipino super flyweight contender Jade Bornea added another win to his resume following a stoppage over Ivan Meneses on Saturday in Cabo San Luca, Mexico.

The 27-year-old Bornea dictated the tempo from start to finish, going to the head and body of his Mexican foe.

In round seven, a clean right straight on top followed by a punch to the body crumpled Meneses to the canvas. Unable to continue, the referee ruled the contest a technical knockout.

Bornea, rated by the IBF as the no.1 super flyweight in the world, improved his perfect record to 18-0 with 12 knockouts while Meneses dropped to 19-23-2 with 11 knockouts.
