Amateur boxer in Davao slips into a coma after first bout

An amateur boxer in Davao del Sur was hospitalized after he slipped into a coma a few hours after engaging in his first bout and lost, Joseph Morong reported on "Saksi" Wednesday.

A few hours after the bout, Anselmo Tagalog Jr. fainted and has not gained consciousness.

He was rushed to the hospital wherein it was discovered that he had a blot clot in his brain.

The local government unit is investigating the incident.

The mother of the boxer is requesting for financial assistance for her son's treatment. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
