Peñalosa lands co-promotion deal with Kameda for Kenneth Llover
Former two-division champion Gerry Peñalosa has landed a three-fight deal with Kameda Promotions to co-promote unbeaten prospect Kenneth Llover.
Llover, 14-0 with 9 knockouts, has caught the attention of international handlers after back-to-back first-round stoppage wins in Japan.
"The contract is a three-fight deal that will run for 15 months and guarantees a world title shot for Llover," Peñalosa told GMA News Online.
"The first fight in the contract will be against a world-rated opponent in September."
Two of his Japanese suitors were Naoya Inoue's promoter, Ohashi Promotions, and Treasure Boxing Promotion. He is currently under contract with Gerrypens Promotions.
Prior to this signing, Peñalosa stated he is willing to work with anyone for Llover and that he was looking for a laid-out plan for his ward to get a crack at a world title.
