Jake Paul makes a punching bag out of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., wins by unanimous decision

Content creator-turned-boxer Jake Paul scored the 12th win of his professional boxing career following a one-sided unanimous decision over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Sunday (Philippine time) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Paul opened the contest with jabs and right hands to the head and body while Chavez circled the ring, seemingly trying to get a feel of the former's power.

Paul dictated the tempo from round two onwards as Chavez barely threw anything to keep the YouTuber at bay. As the fight went on, Paul made a punching bag out of Chavez as the Mexican refused to throw all night.

Chavez would throw a big punch every now and then, but those shots were far and few in between to make a case for winning a round. Chavez came alive in round 9, landing telling shots that put fans in attendance on the edge of their seats.

Chavez threw everything he had in the tenth and final round, hoping to land a Hail Mary to salvage the fight. Paul boxed until the final bell, knowing full well he was way ahead on points.

All three judges saw the fight for Paul after ten three-minute rounds, improving his record to 12-1 with 7 knockouts while Chavez dropped to 54-7-1 with 34 knockouts. The scorecards were 99-91, 98-92, and 97-93.
