Jimuel Pacquiao gears up for pro debut in US

Emmanuel “Jimuel” Pacquiao Jr., the eldest son of Manny Pacquiao, is out to prove that greatness runs through his veins as he follows in his father’s footsteps.

The second-generation boxer will make his professional debut in the co-main event of Manny Pacquiao Promotion’s maiden event in the United States on November 29 (November 30, Manila time). He will take on fellow newcomer Brendan Lally at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.

"It's a big moment for me, and I'm very excited to finally make my professional debut,” said the younger Pacquiao. “My father has been a huge inspiration and a great mentor. I've learned so much from him, not just about boxing, but about dedication and hard work."

The 24-year-old has been steadily training at the famed Wild Card Gym since 2021, preparing for this moment.

"I'm very proud of Jimuel. He has the heart of a fighter, and he has worked very hard for this. I told him to focus, train hard, and always stay humble. This is just the beginning of his journey,” the eight-division world champion said of his heir.

Jimuel enters the professional ranks holding an amateur record of 6-4.
