Nesthy Petecio, Hergie Bacyadan notch bronze medals at 2025 SEA Games

Olympians Nesthy Petecio and Hergie Bacyadan settled for bronze medals after losing their respective semifinal matches at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games.

Petecio, who earned a direct berth in the semifinals, bowed to Indonesia’s Hasanah Huswatun via split decision, 3–2, in the women’s 63kg division on Saturday.

Bacyadan, who also received an outright semifinal slot, fell to Thailand’s Manikon Baison by unanimous decision in the women’s 70kg division on Friday.
