PBA: Alaska signs Sotto, draft pick Dela Peña next

MANILA, Philippines – The Alaska Aces signed Ervin Sotto Friday getting the former Air21 big man as a back-up center to Sonny Thoss. Sotto signed with the Aces after being released by the Express. Team manager and Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) board chairman Joaqui Trillo said that Sotto will receive a monthly stipend hovering within P100,000. Trillo added that they have yet to sign Kelvin Dela Peña, the Aces’ second round pick in last week’s PBA Annual Rookie Draft. Dela Peña, the reigning National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) most valuable player, is still playing with the Mapua Cardinals in the ongoing season. – GMANews.TV
