Ex-NBA star Divac becomes adviser in Serbia's government


BELGRADE, Serbia – Former NBA star Vlade Divac has become an adviser to the Serbian government. The ex-Sacramento Kings center told reporters Thursday that he will be in charge of humanitarian issues and sports in the team of vice-premier Ivica Dacic. Divac says he has taken up the post in order to help promote humanitarian work in Serbia. He says he is not interested in politics and money. After withdrawing from basketball, Divac moved to his native Serbia where he has a business and runs a humanitarian organization. – AP
