PBA: TNT center Yancy suspended for Game 6

MANILA, Philippines – Talk ‘N Text starting center Yancy De Ocampo was meted a one-game suspension and will miss Game Six of the team’s semifinals series against San Miguel in the KFC Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup on Sunday. The Commissioner’s Office handed out the suspension in the light of De Ocampo’s flagrant foul penalty 2 committed against Danny Seigle during Friday’s Game Five of the best-of-seven showdown. The 6-foot-8 former St. Francis of Assisi College standout was called for the foul with a little under two minutes left in the match won by the Beermen, 125-115. He was subsequently ejected out of the game. Flagrant foul penalty 2 is subjected to an automatic one-game suspension. On top of it, De Ocampo was also fined P20,000. His absence is expected to be a big blow for the Tropang Texters especially with De Ocampo being at the forefront of the team’s late rally in the payoff period, scoring all of his 11 points during that stretch. – GMANews.TV
