MANILA, Philippines – Patrick Cabahug came alive in the fourth quarter to help Bacchus to an 89-83 Game 3 win over Magnolia Purewater in their Philippine Basketball League (PBL) PG Flex Linoleum Cup semis tussle at The Arena in San Juan City. The former Adamson Falcon, who only scored three points in game two, hit three-pointers from different angles to come up with 19 points behind a 5-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. He also had three rebounds and four assists. Al Magpayo had a personal conference high of 22 points to lead Magnolia, scoring 19 in the second half. But it all came to naught as he and his teammates were not able to maintain control of the match after leading for most of the final quarter. The Energy Warriors started quick in the second quarter and erected a 14-point spread as a Khalif Fortune tip in, with 5:08 to go, gave them a 32-18 advantage. The Wizards, however, would not go down without a fight and even enjoyed a 66-60 edge early in the fourth period courtesy of a Magpayo basket. “Iyong defense namin nag-collapse (Our defense just collapsed)," Cabahug said on how the Wizards were able to came back after Bacchus taking control most part of the game. “Tulong-tulong at enjoy lang kami sa game (We just played as a team and enjoyed the game)," the Cebuano hotshot added on their steady play in the clutch. With the Wizards ahead holding to a 75-72 lead, Cabahug scored five points coming from long range jumpers in an 11-2 Bacchus rampage. – GMANews.TV
