MANILA, Philippines – With the Air21 franchise getting the name Burger King in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), its counterpart in the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) will be christened with a new title. “One thing is for sure, there will be a PBL team," said PBL Burger King coach Allan Gregorio when asked of the team’s plans. “We have several names in the pipeline to replace the PBL team of Burger King," added Gregorio. Prior to Burger King, the Bert Lina-owned franchise used Mail and More as the name of the team. Currently, Mail and More is one of the squad’s playing in the Women’s PBL. Another change that could happen is that they would re-evaluate their roster since some of their active players are on loan to the Smart Gilas RP National Team of coach Rajko Toroman. “We have to reanalyze the lineup," Gregorio said. “It might be a totally different core." In the recently concluded PBL PG Flex Linoleum Cup, the Stunners had a tie up with NCAA champion squad San Beda College. They were able to reach the quarterfinals, losing to Bacchus in that round. Burger King will be known as the Titans in the coming Motolite-PBA Fiesta Conference, which opens on Saturday in Dumaguete City. The Yeng Guiao-coaches Titans will face the Sta. Lucia Realtors. – GMANews.TV
