PBA: Tubid lifts Ginebra to lopsided win over Coke

MANILA, Philippines – Ronald Tubid scored 15 of his team-high 20 points in the first half to lead Ginebra to a lopsided 122-85 win over Coca-Cola in Wednesday’s Motolite-PBA Fiesta Cup at the Araneta Coliseum. Tubid went 3-of-4 at the three-point area to help the defending champion Kings erect a 52-28 halftime lead that ballooned to 31 points, 89-58, heading into the final quarter. Aside from Tubid, five other Ginebra players finished in double figures with import David Noel adding 18 markers while Cyrus Baguio, Jayjay Helterbrand and Chico Lanete ending up with 13 each. Paul Artadi and JC Intal contributed 12 and 11 points also for Ginebra. Ronjay Buenafe paced Coca-Cola’s losing cause with 21 points while Asi Taulava and Nic Belasco chipped in 12 markers.
