CdO youth cagers clinch NBTC Mindanao leg crown

Cagayan de Oro is marching to the national finals of the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) D-League. This after the CdO young cagers trounced GenSan, 102-90, at the Xavier University Gym in Cagayan de Oro City. Most Outstanding Player John Karlo Casino had 17 points, Dennis Jabagat added 14 and Mythical Team member Jiovani Jalalon contributed 11 as CdO annexed the Mindanao crown in this tournament. CdO lost to Davao (69-66), but claimed the scalp of Iligan (84-65) and Valencia (97-48) to enter the finals against Gensan. Hamsar Macalintal had 12 points while Aaron Zobel and Douglas Rama scored 10 apiece for GenSan. Davao whipped Zamboanga, 71-50, to settle for third place.
