MisOr trounces Ani-FCA to rule TOP's 4th leg

Misamis Oriental sustained its energy all through out the match in cruising to an 88-66 win over Ani-FCA in the finals of the Tournament of the Philippinesâ (TOP) fourth leg at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Center in Mandaue City, Cebu.

Former collegiate stars Mark Andaya and Patrick Cabahug gave the needed offensive power for the Jun Noel-coached Meteors to complete a four-game sweep of the tournament jointly organized by the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) and Liga Pilipinas. "The players are determined to win the title and they did it by showing their big heart and playing consistent throughout the tournament," said Noel. MP Pacman Warriors, meanwhile, took third place with an 87-74 overtime win over host Mandaue. The 6-foot-7 Andaya terrorized the shaded lane to finish with 12 points and four blocks with Cabahug adding 12 more markers for the Gov. Oscar Moreno-owned Meteors. Neil Raneses, who was named tournament MVP for his consistent performance, and Elder Saldua combined for 21 points also for MisOr.
