Trust and discipline were the foundation behind Adamson University's recent victory in the just Shakey’s V-League Season 7 second conference. "That was actually the foundation of our victory. The defense shown by my players is just an additional factor," said Lady Falcons coach Minerva Dulce Pante after winning her second title in the league. "My players just returned the favor by giving their best. Also God guided the team to this championship," added Pante. One of the players whom Pante gave her full trust was guest player Michelle Laborte from Bacolod City. Laborte's career came back to life after being sidelined for almost a year due to an injured left hand. "I was sidelined for one year since I rested after injuring my hand. Then coach (Pante) asked me to join the team. She trusted me so I just returned the favor by helping the team win." said Laborte. Aside from Laborte, guest player and Finals Most Valuable Player Nene Bautista, skipper Angela Benting, Paulina Soriano, setter Lourdes Patilano, libero Angelica Vasquez and newcomer Gail Martin. They joined forces to establish that solid net and floor defense which neutralized the San Sebastian's offensive game. The rest of the Lady Falcons will now prepare for the coming UAAP volleyball tournament where they are installed as early favorites to win the women's crown. "Only Laborte and Bautista will be gone from the team. We will have the same line-up and we’ll play the same way in the UAAP. – JVP, GMANews.TV
