Ex-President Ramos, Mayor Lim to grace NPC fun run

Former President Fidel V. Ramos and Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim will be the special guests in the 1st National Press Club of the Philippines (NPC) 'Freedom Run’ set on Sunday at the historic walls of Intramuros. Ramos, considered as one of the country's icons of democracy, and Lim will also participate in the fundraising event. Call time for walk-in participants and final sign up is at 5 a.m. while the event starts at 7 a.m. with Mayor Lim firing the starting gun. "Maghanda ang ating mga runners dahil makakalaban nila si dating President Ramos at Mayor Lim," said NPC president Jerry Yap. The one-day event is part of the NPC's 58th anniversary celebration. NPC members and other accredited media organizations along with their families are free to join the 5-kilomerer media class and 3k Under-15 division of the fun run. – JVP, GMANews.TV
