Antonio Lascuna is knocking on the door again for a maiden Asian Tour title after churning out a bogey-free, six-under-par 66 to stay close behind leader Panuphol Pittayarat of Thailand with one round to go in the $400,000 Worldwide Holdings Selangor Masters in Malaysia. Lascuna made three birdies in the front and back nines to wound up with a 33-33 card. He enjoyed a chip-in birdie from 20 yards on the fourth hole and nailed a monster 75-foot birdie putt on the 13th hole. More important, his overall 11-over 205 was only two strokes adrift from Panuphol's 13-under 203 as the Thai hotshot scored a 67 on Friday at the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club. Actually, Lascuna had already won the Selangor Masters in 2007 when it was still a local tournament in Malaysia. Now that it is part of the Asian Tour schedule, a victory would definitely be sweeter. "I've won this tournament before, so I feel good vibes when I'm playing in Malaysia. I haven't won any title on the Asian Tour and I'm going to go out there to try and win tomorrow," said Lascuna, who was runner-up at the Iskandar Johor Open four years ago. Although his scores indicate a superb day, the 40-year-old admits that he's still struggling with his shot-making. - Adrian Flores/JVP, GMA News
