NCAA volleyball: Letran trips Arellano to share third spot with EAC

Letran defeated Arellano University, 25-20, 23-25, 25-13, 25-9, to share third place with Emilio Aguinaldo College in the 87th NCAA women's volleyball tournament on Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.   The Lady Knights notched their sixth win in nine outings to join the Lady Generals at third season host University of Perpetual Help's 7-0 record and the 6-2 slate of defending champion San Sebastian.   The Lady Chiefs dropped to an even 4-4, win-loss slate behind Lyceum and San Beda with 5-4, win-loss record.   Letran's junior's and seniors teams, however, dropped their respective matches against Arellano.   The Baby Chiefs downed the Squires, 25-18, 25-17, 16-25, 25-19, while the Chiefs tripped the Knights, 25-16, 25-17, 25-19.   With the win, the Chiefs are now tied with defending champion Perpetual Altas on top of the men's standings with similar 8-0 slates. — JVP, GMA News
