San Beda bags 2nd straight NCAA general championship
San Beda College won its second straight seniors overall title as the NCAA ended its 87th season Friday at The Arena in San Juan City. San Beda tallied 435.5 points to keep the general championship trophy in its Mendiola campus. The Red Lions' strong surge took place in the second semester to beat closest pursuer College of Saint Benilde, which finished second for the third straight year with 427 points. Letran placed third overall with 395.5 markers. San Beda won the titles in men's basketball, men's table tennis, football, while finishing second in men's volleyball and women's taekwondo. "I'm happy for the accomplishment of our athletes,"said San Beda athletics director and Management Committee representative Jose Mari Lacson.
