Incoming 88th NCAA president Fr. Tamerlane Lana said they plan to hold some of the basketball games in the provinces in the next three years. Ormoc City in Leyte, Bacolod City in Negros Occidental and Lucena City in Quezon are some of the provinces that the NCAA—the country's oldest collegiate league—hopes to hold regular season games.
"We want to  make the NCAA a truly  national colegiate league by bringing our games in the provinces," said Lana.

Incoming NCAA management committee chairman and Letran athletic moderator Fr. Vic Calvo said that the plan, if it pushes through, is also one way of helping the family and relatives of players from the provinces to watch the games live. "This is a long term plan. We actually talked with Jose Rizal and St. Benilde to help us make this plan a reality," said Calvo. — JVP, GMA News
