PBL: Hapee-PCU nip Mail and More, 91-90

Hapee-PCU Teethmasters exploded in the second half to beat Mail and More Comets, 91-90, Tuesday afternoon in their playoff for the right to the automatic semis berth of the PBL Silver Cup at the Olivarez Sports Center in Paranaque City. Center James Razon was all business in the third period as he connected for six points and limited Comets Center JR Quinahan to just four points to help the Teethmasters post a 40-33 advantage. Also helping in the offensive department are Mark Moreno, Larry Rodriguez, and rookie Jayford Rodriguez who combined for 28 points that ballooned the Teethmasters' lead to 68-48. "Bonus ito para sa amin," said Teethmasters coach Jun Noel. This is the first time that Hapee will be playing in the semifinals since the 2004 PBL Platinum Cup when the team was still known as the Fash Liquid Detergents.
