UAAP: 'I will not let this pass' – Sen. Pia Cayetano on 'Pingoy Rule'

After the UAAP board upheld the "Jerie Pingoy" rule, senator and former student athlete Pia Cayetano said on Twitter that she won't let the new two-year residency rule for incoming UAAP college athletes happen.

The former UP volleyball player has openly opposed the collegiate league's new rule, which forces players transferring UAAP schools from highschool to college to sit-out for two years. She even called for a special Senate hearing on the matter.
