UAAP: Ateneo's Ravena to miss rivalry game versus La Salle
Ateneo Blue Eagle Kiefer Ravena will miss a second straight game, this time against arch-rivals La Salle Green Archers, on Sunday at 4pm, due to a severely sprained ankle, team manager Paolo Trillo confirmed to GMA News Online Sports via text message.
Ravena entered the Season 76 of the UAAP injured, but managed eight unproductive minutes against the NU Bulldogs in his team's season opener, Sunday, scoring two points off the bench, to go with two turnovers and two fouls. He missed all five three-point attempts he hoisted up.
Ateneo went on to lose that game 64-54.
Ravena was on the sidelines of Ateneo's next game, Wednesday, against the FEU Tamaraws, with his right foot encased in a walking boot. The defending UAAP champs lost that game as well, 79-75 in overtime.
"The Phenom" underwent an MRI Thursday that showed no additional damage beyond the sprain and is listed as day-to-day.
The Eagles beat the Archers 78-70 during the final elimination round game of the FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup. They then pulled out of the tournament due to injuries to various players. - AMD/RAF, GMA News
