A three-pronged attack by the Adamson University Lady Falcons was just too much for the University of Santo Tomas Tigresses to overcome, as the former swept their foes in three sets, 25-21 25-18 25-18, Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Arena, in the UAAP women's volleyball tournament.
The two sides are now deadlocked with 2-2 cards, along with the idle FEU Lady Tamaraws.
Sheila Pineda led all scorers with 13 points for Adamson, nine off kills, plus three service aces. Amanda Villanueva scored 11, three off blocks, while Luisa Zapanta's 10 markers included eight spikes.
UST only had Pam Lastimosa in double-digit scoring, as she pounded in 10 spikes and two blocks. Marivic Meneses added eight points.
Sloppy play by UST resulted in 28 points for Adamson off errors. Conversely, the Lady Falcons gave up just 13 points in that category. - AMD, GMA News
