V-League: FEU forces decider versus Adamson for last Finals berth

The Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws refused to back down and forced a win-or-go-home game three against the Adamson Lady Falcons, after sweeping the aforementioned team aside 25-22 25-23 26-24, Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Arena, in the semifinals of the Shakey’s V-League Season 11-1st Conference.
Last week, Adamson won in a five-set epic, 19-25 22-25 26-24 25-15 15-12, but were unable to follow the lead of the defending champions NU Lady Bulldogs and advance right away to the Finals.
NU earlier bested the UST Tigresses in two games.
Bernadette Pons tallied 16 big points, three via blocks and another three via service aces. Guest players Rachelle Ann Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga combined for 29 makers, 26 off spikes, while Mary Palma chimed in with nine.
Adamson drew 15 points from Shiela Pineda, plus 12 from Pacharee Sangmuang but it wasn’t enough as they were beaten in just under an hour and half.
FEU dominated the excellent digs 37-31 and excellent sets 39-25 categories.
