PBL: Dazz trips Toyota Balintawak 86-81
Dazz 'sang Patak survived Toyota Balintawak in overtime and posted an 86-81 win in the continuation of the PBL Unity Cup eliminations Thursday at the Olivarez College Sports Center in Paranaque City. Starting center Philip Butel banged in the winning follow-up that gave Dazz 'sang Patak an 84-81 lead with 33 seconds left in the game. "Kalabaw kung magtrabaho si Butel," said mentor Jun Noel after the game. "You all know that we lost many key players and sa ngayon ay 40% pa lamang kami, but I expect the team to get better as the league progresses." If Butel made the pivotal follow-up, Reed Juntilla kept the Grease Busters in the game as he posted 27 points which he capped with a 5-of-5 shooting beyond the 3-point line. As Juntilla carried the fight for the Grease Busters, Patrick Cabahug did the same for the Road Kings. After Juntilla connected with his last 3-point shot that gave his team a 78-76 lead, Cabahug scored two free throws form Larry Rodriguez's last foul that forced the extra minute. Cabahug posted 18 points for Toyota Balintawak. - GMANews.TV
