A league release said on Monday that Joseph Robert Luna scored 21 points for the Baby Tigers, who needed to hurdle two playoff matches to enter the quarterfinal round. Stopped by the Baby Falcons, 70-85, last Saturday, the Baby Tigers defeated Philippine College of Criminology, 79-69, late Sunday, then exacted revenge over the Baby Falcons on Monday to enter the quarterfinal round. Rommel Aquino and Kyle Neypes added 10 points apiece for UST, which will face Far Eastern University in the quarterfinal round. Benedick Tadeo paced the Baby Falcons with 16 points. In the women's division, the Philippines College of Criminology, champion of the Colleges and Universities Sports Association, nipped Adamson, 86-74, to clinch the No. 2 spot in Group A. Meanwhile, the University of the East subdued National University, 87-50 to clinch the No. 4 spot. - GMANews.TV
