UAAP: Point guard Mikee Reyes out of UP Fighting Maroons

Despite having one more playing year left in his UAAP career, University of the Philippines guard Mikee Reyes will not be suiting up for the Fighting Maroons next season.

Reyes made the announcement on his Twitter account on Wednesday night.

Newly-appointed head coach Joe Ward also confirmed the development to GMA News Online.

Reyes debuted in 2009 for the Maroons, but he was sidelined for two seasons due to injuries. He came back in 2013 but departed once again from the team after playing just one game.

He is best known for his 28-point performance to lead UP in its sole victory in Season 77 against Adamson University, which led to a bonfire celebration. —JST, GMA News
