Harbour Centre wins PBL Unity Cup title

Harbour Centre demolished Cebuana Lhuillier Pera Padala, 90-75, to sweep its PBL Unity Cup finals series Thursday night at the Olivarez Sports Center in Parañaque City. Finals Most Valuable Player Chico Lanete, league MVP Jason Castro and Ryan Arana were unstoppable in offense for Batang Pier who posted their second 3-0 sweep in a best-of-five series and bagged their third straight title. The grandslam title victory put the Batang Pier of coach Jorge Gallent in league with ESQ Marketing, Stag Pale Pilsen, Tanduay Rhum, and Welcoat Paints which won three straight title in the PBL. Batang Pier was ahead by 43-34 at the half and an insurmountable 86-65 advantage with 2:47 left in the game. - GMANews.TV
