GMA sports writer nominated for journalist of the year award in the Global Martial Arts Summit

GMA sports writer JM Siasat has been nominated for the journalist of the year award in the Global Martial Arts Summit, happening at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in November.

JM is up against six other journalists including Mike Bohn of MMA Junkie, Hyder Yutim from Astro Awani, Mike Murillo of Business World, Santino Honasan of ABS CBN, Chris Mohan of Malay Mail, and Manabu Takashima of MMA Planet. 

The winner will be selected by a panel of independent industry experts and will be announced in an awarding ceremony to be held at the JW Marriott on November 8.

Other awards to be given away include the Athlete of the Year, Bout of the Year, Knockout of the Year, Submission of the Year and Walkout of the Year.

The awarding ceremony is just one of the many activities that will take place at the three-day summit. It will culminate with Heart of the Lion, a ONE Championship event where Singaporean female fighter Angela Lee will go up against Chinese fighter Xiong Jing Nan for world strawweight title.
