Find out which UAAP Cheerdance teams will perform first, last
Defending champions National University (NU) Pep Squad will perform last in the 2019 UAAP Cheerdance Competition (CDC).
The order of performances was determined via lottery at the first ever UAAP Cheerdance press conference held Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
CDC host school De La Salle University (DLSU) will perform first in the much-awaited event, while crowd favorite University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad will perform third.
Here is the order of performances:
1. DLSU Animo Squad
2. University of the East (UE) Pep Squad
3. UP Pep Squad
4. Ateneo Blue Babble Battalion
5. Far Eastern University (FEU) Cheering Squad
6. Adamson Pep Squad
7. University of Santo Tomas (UST) Salinggawi Dance Troupe
8. NU Pep Squad
During the press conference, all coaches of the cheering squads wished for safety in the upcoming event.
Team coach Gheeka Bernabe said expectations are high for the NU Pep Squad, being the defending champion. "Everyone is expecting a lot from us. It's a failure for us if di kami magbibigay ng magandang performance," she said.
The NU coach also gave a preview of their performance — which is far from the expected Disney theme.
"Everyone is expecting also na mag-stick kami sa Disney concept but right now, siguro bibigyan namin ng more exciting performance, very far from the previous years. Ngayon [ang performance namin] is [a] tribute to all Filipinos," she added.
