RP reaps 15 gold medals, remains in 4th place at SEA Games

Athletes on Sunday bagged seven more medals for the Philippines, including a gold, bringing the country's total medal tally to 57 in the 24th Southeast Asian Games being held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. As of posting time, the Philippines has the third highest number of medals, but remains in fourth place. Singapore is currently at third place with 17 gold medals. The victory of the Philippine rowing team in the men's lightweight single sculls category brought the number of gold medals of the country to 15. The other medalists as of Sunday morning were:
- George Vilog - silver - Men's Triathlon
- Arland Benedict Macasieb - bronze- Men's Triathlon
- Janice Hung - bronze - Wushu/Women's Taijiquan (two events combined)
- Eduardo Buenavista - bronze - Men's Marathon
- Jho Ann Banayag - bronze - Women's Marathon
- Margarito Angana - bronze - Men's Freestyle 55 kg (wrestling)
