The Philippines breached the 200th mark in the overall medal tally at the 24th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand, as several Filipino athletes clinched silver and bronze medals in various events Friday morning. According to the official SEA Games website, a Filipino diving duo placed second in the Men's Synchronized 3m Springboard match at 10:30 a.m., and the Filipino Men's and Women's boating teams added two more silver medals from the 10-crew 500-meter traditional boat race event. Also, the Philippine Men's karate team pitched in an additional bronze medal. Still in a cutthroat race with Singapore, the Philippine team remains at the fifth spot in the overall medal tally as of 11:43 a.m. with 203 medals, including 39 gold, 76 silver, and 88 bronze medals. The SEA Games officially ends on December 15. - Mark Merueñas, GMANews.TV
