Philippines at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony

Team Philippines braved the rainy opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics as they joined the parade of nations on early Saturday (Philippine time).

Riding a boat, along with Poland and Puerto Rico, Olympic silver medalists Nesthy Petecio and Carlo Paalam led the Philippine delegation as they passed through the River Seine.

The Philippines has a total of 22 athletes in this year's Summer Games.

Rower Joanie Delgaco and gymnast Carlos Yulo will open the country's campaign on Saturday.
