Carlos Yulo receives the gold medal in Paris Olympics

Carlos Yulo won the Philippines' first Olympic gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

After all the finalists finished their performances, Yulo turned emotional as he realized he finally won his first Olympic medal.

Yulo was awarded the gold medal in the victory ceremony and once again, the Philippine national anthem Lupang Hinirang was played on the Olympic stage.

The Filipino gymnast became the second Olympic gold medalist of the Philippines following weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz who won it back in 2021.

The Filipino gymnast's campaign, however, is not yet done as he will still compete in the men's vault finals.
