PBL: Sparks get do-or-die game vs Coffee Kings for semis

MANILA, Phillippines – The Toyota Otis Sparks posted an 89-86 triumph over San Mig Coffee Kings on Monday in their quarterfinal series at the PBL Lipovitan Amino Sports Cup at the jampacked President Jose P. Laurel gym in Tanauan City. The Sparks thus a forced a do-or-die match with the Coffee Kings, according to a PBL statement released on Monday. RJ Jazul powered the Sparks' 13-0 run with a three-point shot and a steal to assure his team of the victory. Jazul contributed 18 points (five of them triples), five assists, three rebounds, and two steals in 29 minutes of playing. The winner of the do-or-die match on Wednesday at the Oreta Sports Center in Malabon will earn a spot in the semifinals with automatic qualifiers Harbour Centre and Hapee Toothpaste.
