Athletes clean up flooded gymnastics facility in Manila

Gymnasts, along with volunteer parents from the developmental team of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP), helped clean up their flooded facility in Manila.

On Friday, heavy rains flooded parts of Manila, and the GAP facility in Intramuros was not spared.

"The heavy rains caused flooding inside the GAP Intramuros Training Center, but with the help of the athletes and volunteer parents from the GAP developmental team, we were able to dry the place quickly, and training soon resumed," the gymnastics body said in a Facebook post.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), as of 8:00 a.m., the low-pressure area east of Aurora had developed into a tropical depression, now named Isang.

A yellow rainfall warning was also issued for Metro Manila at 10:30 a.m. by PAGASA.

PAGASA's 2 p.m. update also raised Signal No. 1 on 16 areas due to Isang.
