Alex Eala rules WTA 125 Birmingham Open: Ranking points and prize money

Alexandra “Alex” Eala captured the WTA 125 Birmingham Open title after defeating Nikola Bartunkova, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5, in the final on Sunday.

The triumph marks Eala’s second WTA 125 crown, following her breakthrough title run in Guadalajara last year.

Aside from lifting the trophy, Eala also earned valuable ranking points and prize money for her championship victory.

As the winner of the WTA 125 event, Eala will receive 125 WTA ranking points, a boost that is expected to further improve her position in the world rankings.

Eala will also take home $33,650 in prize money as the tournament champion, capping off another milestone achievement in her rapidly rising professional career.
