PHL Azkals climbs to 113 in FIFA world rankings

The Philippine men's football team is now 113th in the FIFA World Rankings released Thursday, April 12.

The post is the team's highest ranking since 1993.

From last month's 122, the Philippines went up nine spots, due to the Azkals' win over Tajikistan and Fiji.

The Azkals' win over Tajikistan paved the way for a ticket to the AFC Asian Cup for the first time.

The Philippines ranks 19th overall in Asia. Germany and Brazil retained their first and second spots, respectively. — BAP, GMA News
