US Open: Alex Eala says she is constantly working to improve her serve
Alexandra Eala’s serve has been a point of concern for some fans, but the Filipina tennis ace said she is continuously working to improve that aspect of her game.
During her first-round match against Mary Stoiana at the US Open, Eala won 78% of points on her first serve and 48% on her second serve.
Asked about her serve, Eala said she was pleased with how she performed in the match.
“I’ve been saying, the serve is just a constant effort and constant work and trying to improve,” she said in a post-match conference.
“I’m always trying to improve something. So I’m happy with how I served today. Hopefully, hopefully we’re going up or maintaining the level in the next couple of matches.”
Eala will look to book a spot in the third round of the US Open when she takes on Oleksandra Oliynykova in the Round of 64 on Thursday, or early Friday morning Philippine time.
