Carlos Yulo eyes LA 2028, Brisbane 2032 Olympics after Asian Games stint
After winning two gold medals at the Paris Olympics, gymnast Carlos Yulo is setting his sights on two more appearances in the Summer Games.
Yulo shared his goal during an interview with Martin Javier on “In the Game,” which aired Friday on 24 Oras.
“As an athlete right now, I think I can still compete until the 2032 Brisbane Olympics. I just need to take it one at a time, with LA 2028 coming first because preparations are long,” he said in Filipino.
Yulo also hopes to eventually win an all-around event.
“All-around is the hardest among all events because we’re talking six apparatuses here,” Yulo said.
For now, however, Yulo will turn his attention to the Asian Games, where he is among the Philippines’ potential gold medalists.
The gymnastics competition is set to begin on September 21.
