Filipino Angelo Que turned in a roller coaster performance of three-over-par 75 in the final round to finish with a share of 50th place in the NZ PGA Championship played at the Hills Golf Club in Queenstown, New Zealand on Sunday.

Buoyed by a four-under-par 68 in the third round, Que's bid to wind up inside the top 20 finishers took a dive as he dropped five shots on two holes, a triple bogey 7 on the par-four on the fifth and a double bogey 7 on the 17th.

Unfortunately those and three more bogeys on numbers 1, 6 and 7 demolished his five birdies today. Overall, he held a two-under-par 286 total in the NZD$550,000 tournament of the PGA Tour of Australasia.

The NZ PGA event title went to New Zealander Michael Hendry, who successfully defended his crown after he won a wire-to-wire playoff against Scott Strange of Australia.

Hendry and Strange were tied on 19-under-par 269 at the end of 72 holes.  However, the back-to-back winner birdied the opening playoff hole to seal the deal and delight the crowd which gathered near the hole.

"I've actually won every playoff I've been in, which is a good record.  Not that I thought about that prior to going out," said Hendry. "I got comfortable on the tees and that trickled down on his performance totally." - AMD, GMA News
