With birdies on numbers two and seven, Superal of the ICTSI team, went two up early. However, she bogeyed numbers 14 and 15 to slide down to a share of the lead before nailing the win with that birdie on the 17th.

Superal's victory extended the Philippines' title streak to three following the twin successes of teammate Cyna Rodriguez in Long Beach and Sacramento. Both will be playing in the US Women's Amateur in August.

New Zealand's Laura Hoskin was second with a 70 for 216, while Natalia Forero of the US was third with a 76 for 218, in the girls' 15-18 group in the 54-hole championship, a part of the Future Champions Golf.

Meanwhile, Mikhaela Fortuna, also of ICTSI, scored a one-under-par 71 to grab a two-shot edge over countrywoman Bernice Ilas-Olivarez and China's Angelina Ye at the girls 11-12 at the St. Mark Golf Club.

The 12-year-old Fortuna made the only sub-par score of the round thanks to birdies on numbers 13 and 15, negating a bogey on the 16th. Ilas-Olivarez and Ye each carded a two-over-par 73. Amy Zhang had a 73.

Sofia Chabon, 12, and Rebecca Reed have identical 77s and were tied for 11th.

Over at Truckee, California, Mia Piccio shot a three-over-par 75 for 224 to stay at eighth spot after the third round of the 83rd TRANS National Amateur at the Schaffer's Mill Golf and Lake Club.

Ashlan Ramsey struggled to a 77 but still held on to a share of lead on 214 with Hannah Suh. Rodriguez had a 74 for 227, good for 13th. - AMD, GMA News
